A memorable
day fishing with Capt Ken and Capt Tato Reyes. All the Big Bend
of Florida has to offer. We were fishing in 86' of water off of
Homosassa, Florida. Big catch of the day was a cobia in excess
of 60lbs. Capt Tato Reyes also landed his first Gulf of Mexico
amberjack. Mix in some nice kingfish, bonita, shrimp boat
fishing and weedlines and you have a the mixing for a great day on the
water. Our own Capt Tato Reyes also prepared sushi from a
freshly caught Bonita. It was excellent, now we can all see why
bonita is so effective as bait for other fish.

Another just wonderful
day fishing the Big Bend of Florida. Richard (fishstory) got his
first amberjack. Capt Ken handed out lessons on kingfishing the
Big Bend of Florida and we all had a great time. Weather was
intolerably hot and we had to use ice packs to cool off but the
fishing was just as hot when you mix in an anchored shrimp boat, 80'
of water, and a stationary bait school that was being slammed by
kingfish, bonita and grouper on the bottom. Our Capt Ken landed
a really nice kingfish to take the honors in that category, Richard
took amberjack honors with a decent fish and Cat-A-Tonic took grouper
honors with a nice red grouper. All in all nine different
species of fish caught on a non-stop day of action.
